Big city, city light.

Extra security: new uvex city light sets new levels of visibility on a bicycle, with LED lighting built-in.

City, Countryside, the Future: increasingly, bicycles will become the most important means of transport in urban areas, promising independence and improving quality of life. Visibility on a bike is essential – to safeguard both the rider and other road users. Reflective details on clothing and perfectly working bicycle lights are often used. For even more safety, uvex presents the new uvex city light.

uvex city light is a simple, sporty city bike helmet. Its true character reveals when the power button is pressed: under the outer shell, 4 LED strips light up – 2 at the front, 2 at the back – with 32 LEDs in all. To make the cyclist more visible at dawn or dusk, or in the dark. At the touch of a button, the LEDs switch between constant, flash and pulse. Depending on the mode, the built-in battery lasts 6 to 12 hours. Recharge in less than 2 hours using the supplied USB cable. An LED indicates charge status:

  • Green: 60 % power remaining
  • Green/Red: 30 to 60 % power remaining
  • Red: ≤ 30 % power remaining, low battery

This technology lies behind an extra LED light at the back of the helmet. Reflective straps and lettering complete the package. Note: road traffic regulations class these helmet LEDs as an auxiliary, passive lights and do not replace active bicycle lights. Made for: night owls

Special features: built-in LED lights, double in-mold construction, IAS 3D fit system, 18 vents, visor, reflective straps, and logos, including a plug-in LED.

How do I adjust my cycling helmet properly?
It’s very important to ensure that the cycling helmet sits properly not only for safety reasons but of course also for comfort. That’s why you should make sure to select the correct helmet size before making your purchase.

A few tips for a proper fit

head circumference
First, the circumference of the head needs to be measured to determine the appropriate helmet size. A measuring tape offers the easiest solution: measure the full circumference of the head two finger-widths above the eyebrows and above the ears. Tip: if you don’t have a measuring tape, you can also use a piece of string and then measure it with a ruler.

The right helmet size
The “from-to” size can be found inside the helmet itself: each uvex helmet size accommodates a range of head sizes such as 52–57 cm and 56–61 cm. Alternatively, you can ask the specialist retailer about your helmet size.

Width adjustment
Now turn the dial at the back of the head to accurately adjust the fit down to the millimeter. Next, you need to check how the helmet fits on your head: loosen the uvex IAS 3D system by turning the dial and putting the helmet on. It should fit comfortably but not fall off when you shake your head lightly with the chin strap open.

Height adjustment
The height of the uvex IAS 3D system can also be adjusted – with the easy-to-use ratchet closure: using two fingers, identify the appropriate height and insert.

Y-divider
The uvex IAS 3D system can be adjusted to improve the position of the y-divider. It should fit comfortably around the ears. The length of the chin strap can also be adjusted in just one simple step.

Level position
Before cycling, you should always ensure that the position of the helmet is level – not too low on the forehead or the neck. The ideal position is two finger-widths above the eyebrows.

Good quality for price
Format: Paperback
This was a good book for the summer. It has a variety of activities so my child didn't get bored. It also has some fun "outside" only ideas to get them up and moving. It was a good bridge book that she could (mostly) do independently. However, as they progress through it, parents should be there to help and reiterate different concepts. It was well worth the price and helped the transition go smoothly.

Perfect To Keep A Youngster's Mind Active Over The Summer
Format: Paperback
Simply put, this is a great activity book to help your child stay mentally active when out of school for the summer. It is not intended to be a full school curriculum, but instead a way to keep children mentally active during the summer break. We have a child leaving 2nd and heading to 3rd grade and were concerned about her skills being lost over the summer. While we do work with her to increase her skillset, we were more concerned about the atrophy that happens when not in school than jumping her ahead. It can be a bit tough for kids returning to school if they go 2-3 months with little book work, so we wanted to help keep her fresh but not fill her summer with full days of 'school' work. This book is a solid mix of skills with some being easy and others more of stretch. The easy and stretch items will vary with the schooling your child gets and their abilities. I suspect most kids heading to third grade will find most of the work in this book at least a strong refresher and potentially help move them in some areas. This is setup to be a roughly 15 minute daily regime but we have enhanced it with some other work. We have math and science specific activity books as well as a reading workbook that we rotate into the mix. We also keep track of words she has a harder time spelling and use them make a 10 spelling word weekly review and test (review for 4 days and test on the fifth). Most of these topics are in the bridge activities book, but we felt a little extra attention would not hurt and some variety in what she is working on keeps things fresh. We do spelling, reading/writing and a couple 'pages' of work each weekday which comes out to about a 45-60 minute batch of work. The Summer Bridge Activities books is a constant in the mix with a page used almost every day and the other work rotated.

Great summer workbook!
Format: Paperback
So far an easy book compared to the Argo Summer Academy one that was too challenging. I don't like the way the pages are perforated they fall out of the book too easily. I feel like it is a good balance of keeping up skills already learned and softly introducing a little bit of challenge. I like how each day has math and reading. Easy to keep skills up with only 15 minutes of work a day.

Ideal for Summer Learning
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
The books are made of good quality and are durable for daily use. The pages are colorful, and the text is a good size for children to read. The instructions are clear and cover a wide variety of topics to reinforce children during the summer. I would like for it to explain some concepts and not just be exercises. It includes answer sheets for all exercises, stickers to reward each day of exercise, and a diploma upon finishing the book. The exercises are designed for 15-20 minutes daily and are meant for children to review every day. The pages are thick, so even if they use markers, it won't bleed through to the other side. I highly recommend them to avoid the summer gap when returning to classes.

Good book for summer!
Format: Paperback
I always get my son a workbook for that summer gap between grades, just so he doesn’t forget what he has learned and to get a little head start for the next grade. I usually get another brand but decided on this one and it is so great! Had the same exact material my son learned in second grade so it was easy for him to get in the groove of things and eases him into the next grade
